JP Gan, Founding Partner of INCE Capital, was listed again as one of the “Yicai Top 50 Equity Investors for 2020”.
For the ranking, Yicai conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the investors according to reasonable quantitative data and clearly-defined qualitative facts. The evaluation covers such indicators as management size, fundraising capability, value discovery ability, post-investment management ability, financial performance upon exit, and green investment.
Yicai made an incisive statement when issuing the ranking:
“What counts the most for an investor is his or her investment performance, which is the heaviest factor in our ranking.”
“Investment goes against human nature as investors must think critically and independently, have their own judgments instead of following others like sheep, and advance with the times. The listed investors have rich experiences and resources to help startups in their early and growth stages.”
“Investors need to understand the companies they invest in. The understanding lies in getting the real picture of how a portfolio project can succeed or fail, so as to better serve the real economy.”
“Investors also need to shoulder social responsibilities. Compared with our researches in the previous years, we found in our communication with investment firms that an increasing number of them, including leading GP and emerging GP firms, had gained further insights into influence investment. The synergistic relationship between influence investment and financial returns have been increasingly recognized.”
